Are You Optimizing This One Equalizing Factor In Your MLM Business?

Stop-watchLet’s face it. We are not all the same. Some of you have more money than others (which buys you leverage for prospecting leads, systems, etc…), some of you have more experience (which lets you leverage that to quicker growth if you are starting in a new Network Marketing opportunity, and some of you have more contacts (which really lets you leverage this business). But the one thing we all share in common is the 24 hour day.

So how are you leveraging your allotted 24 hours?

Are you dusting off the shelves and cleaning your desk during prime prospecting hours?

Are you too busy getting brainwashed by the evening news and engulfed with other TV drivel during prime prospecting hours?

If you are in the unfortunate position of still holding a job while you build your MLM business on the side, are you going about it in a sully way, still convinced you are the victim of corporate slavery or are you utilizing that time to develop relationships with co-workers that can possibly turn them into prospects for your business?

Here we go….

No matter what your situation is right now, you must figure out how to leverage your time to exponentially increase your productivity and results.

Even if you are brand new to this business, do your learning (reading, etc…) late at night or start the day with it. Save the office dusting for the early morning or late night hours too, or better yet, pay a maid to do it.

Here’s a simple formula:

Traditionally we assign the work week to be forty hours. Since a year is 52 weeks, that’s 2,080 hours in a year. If you want to make a million dollars a year, your pay rate is $480 per hour. What that boils down to is that if what you are doing right now (unless you are forced to do it, like your job) is NOT bringing in $480 per hour and it is done during the timeframe in which you could be doing high-leveraged activity that could make you $480 per hour, you should not be doing it!

Outsource, hire a gardener, hire a maid, etc…

And based on that same formula logic dictates that you should quit your job and focus 100% of your prime-time activity on building your business, but understandably most people don’t have the cash reserves to support themselves while their side-activity is in the red, so we’ll let that slide for now.

Back to managing what you do have….

An Italian economist named Pareto came up with something you are probably familiar with, the 80/20 rule.

80% of your results will come from 20% of the things you do.
20% of the people do 80% of the work.
20% of the people you recruit will account for 80% of your income in Network Marketing.

Are you working with the 20% of new distributors who are on fire and ready to explode your team?

Are you prospecting where 80% of the people you approach are not your target market?

Are you leveraging your time by using presentations that many can watch at once, or trying to do one-on-ones with unqualified prospects?

Are you leveraging your prospecting time by asking for referrals from people who say no (this one technique alone can give you instant prospects without additional time and money spent)?

Have you broken down your typical day and figured out which things you are doing that produce results and taken it a step further to eliminate the 80% waste?

What are you doing with your time?

Use it wisely, for it is the one thing that is given to us equally but when leveraged properly can cause you to excel faster than your peers who may have greater advantages in other areas.
